WoCATV®

Wi-Fi allows broadband connectivity within ranges of a few hundred feet from
the Access Point. By employing Teletronics' routers/bridges which controls many Access Points, you can easily blanket your entire region of interest. WoCATV is mainly for hotels, using existing cable TV lines to distribute Wi-Fi.

Thanks to this patent-pending technology, Teletronics can provide 100% WiFi signal coverage to all of your
property’s guest rooms and common areas through your existing TV cable.

Wi-Fi Over Cable TV

Typical WiFi high-speed Internet access (HSIA) installation requires installing access points to locations such
as attics or roofs, causing additional electrical work, or running CAT-5 cables to the access points necessitating
invasive, costly and time-consuming measures such as tearing up walls or modifying a building’s infrastructure.
With WoCATV®, all this is eliminated. The WoCATV® signal is locally radiated via a small patch antenna
installed in each room at the incoming TV cable jacket, thereby eliminating any other RF interference and
providing as much as 10db better performance compared to other wireless alternatives. Another advantage
of WoCATV® is that it eliminates imprecise and time-consuming RF site surveys that otherwise could be
required. All system equipment is installed in a secure, central location such as a hotel’s cable closets.

With wireless usage exploding around the nation, Teletronics realizes that people are becoming accustomed to being able to access the Internet at almost anytime, anywhere. WoCATV® provides users with immediate access, without any hassle. We can provide both a wireless and a totally managed solution, and we can show you how to generate extra revenue using WoCATV®.

The advantage of WoCATV® is its ease of use. However, its installation does require expertise. If you require assistance in doing so, Teletronics will arrange for a technical team to train your staff in installing WoCATV®,
and will provide you with our excellent customer support, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

First-time customers should know that WoCATV® is not a simple plug-and-play system. That is, it cannot just
be set up on the fly. This is because WoCATV® mixes and distributes TV signals with WiFi signals in each
room where it is to be offered; and every single room is unique, with its own isolation conditions that must be
determined through testing. While the idea behind WoCATV® may seem intuitive, the technology itself requires
a great deal of experience and technical knowledge on the part of its installer, as well as some trial and error,
for it to be successful.

Therefore, before Teletronics can help you take advantage of WoCATV® in your hotels and other similar environments, we need to determine many variables, including the layout for each room, the TV line wiring topology from room to room, isolation/tap configurations and the electrical properties of your line. Such knowledge can best be acquired through a site survey by one of our technical teams. If you are a first-time customer, you may wish to first try out an evaluation unit with which we would provide you before you wish to proceed with a full-scale installation. While evaluating the trial unit, we can arrange for you to contact us via email or telephone, even conference call: we want you to feel absolutely confident in what WoCATV® can do for your business, and this includes answering all of your questions and educating you on the technology to the level you require.

Once you have a handle on the technology, you will not require us to be on-site for installation, operation and maintenance of your WoCATV® network. By investing in educating our customers on the broadband wireless systems we provide them, we at Teletronics feel that our customers become even more satisfied in the long run
by taking full advantage of the value of our equipment and solutions. It is a philosophy with many success stories around the world.
